Meet Shamira. I made her for FC 2009, and debuted her that Saturday.

(I will never learn to take photos early in the day....I had been in costume for 11 hours at this point and most of my neck makeup had rubbed off...oh well.)

This is my first personal Cats style costume in 9 years. When I first saw the play, I fell in love with our narrator, Munkustrap. It is a great role, and a very strong protector character. He is also male. I've debated about attempting this character for years, but could never really figure out how to properly shape the male character on my female form.

I finally decided that instead of making a proper Munkustrap, I was going to create a female character of a similar look and role. This costume had a lot of first's for me. This is my first experiment with using "Jumbo Braid" as a wig medium. My first time airbrushing a unitard. There are several other firsts in here as well, but they are subtle nitty gritty construction details that don't particularly matter to the world at large.
