for how long you have it?

i have one the same on my 40D.. that i recently bought, and it was used about an year
i think i see the same problem with it's focus in photos..

i'm thinking to upgrade it to 17-40 f/4 L..

same, about one year... the problem is, that on the 50mm it's not so bad (about +4) but on 17mm it's almost not to use (about +11 and corrections depend on distance from the object), i'm thinking about same or buying 28/1.8 usm for 5d - almost as wide as 17mm on APS-C.

on 50d and newer you can make a correction of backfocus or frontfocus
