Okay the image is a bit misleading but the White Lantern Kyle Rayner pics is not only iconic, but very fitting for what I am trying to get at.

In my latest installment of my RWBY rewritten literature, one change I made for volume 4 involved Ren where when he starts to embrace his emotions, it changes his semblance so that emotions empower him in certain ways.

Some examples of his new power are

Hope has a rally effect on him and his allies which makes them slightly stronger.

Compassion allows him to heals others (but not as great as Jaune’s powers).

Fear enhances his senses and agility a bit.

Love allows him to sense where his friends are, but it only seems to work on finding only Nora at first :3

and I do see his regular semblance still being there but it only activates when he is brave.

Course some emotions have drawbacks like

Anger gives him a berserker effect but it can be hard for him to stop using this power (especially depending on how angry he gets) and can make Ren dangerous to his own allies.

Fear again though has its benefits, can also make it so that he becomes doubtful on his decision making.

And feeling sadness immediately turns off his semblance, which can lead him wide open to attacks but that can happen anyway as this new power can be draining at times.

Though amittedly it makes Ren a bit OP, its not only a more entertaining upgrade to his skills compared to him later reading emotional states, but it would be great for his character as we can see him be more emotional and do things he would never have done before at this point while learning to control his emotions.

Would you have liked it if Ren had gotten such a power in RWBY? What kind of other powers could you see certain emotions give Ren?
