You do not need to have read Without Magic in order to enjoy Shadows of the past, though some scenes will make more sense if you have.

Well, knowing that in "Without magic" Celestia was tossing all the foal missing reports away... I cannot help but thing, she is somehow involved in that.

I think that maybe I didn't convey the scenes as well as I could have. They are supposed to be Celestia being swamped with reports, not her throwing them away.
She has so many that she can't keep up with them all.

Maybe it is because to me missing foals (which are likely in danger) are more important then my student (who is going throught hard times but is in no danger).

In this comic I mostly always drew Celestia with lots of papers floating behind her to show that she was busy dealing with lots of things. It's like an In tray.

What we didn't see is Twilight's four friends tackling Pinkie; one using their whirlwind speed to heat up and burn this so-called 'disk', the two strongest restraining Pinkie, while the 4th calms Twilight and re-energizes her in the kindest action possible.Β
