Just a quick one today. Mostly borrowed vectors.By popular demand NOW WITH SCHOOL UNIFORM
Waxing and Waning (As in, the moon getting fatter and thinner). Created in Inkscape and compiled\edited in Photoshop.
Yes, it's an old joke, but it's still fun.

The joke is the implication that Celestia has gained weight.
I thought that the gray background and the craters would have been the clue?

Well, there's nothing to indicate that that's the punchline.
And I the background just looked like a starry night and some lump of metal, given how little I could see. Not to mention, there was nothing to draw my attention to the gray so I could notice what it was, all the attention is on Luna.
Also, I just noticed what you did with Luna's hair: very nice. Though, having the patterns overlap the outlines of her mane doesn't quite work.

Celestia responds by sending Luna to the moon.
The overall implication is that Celestia has gained weight (Hence the title, waxing and waning) and is angry\envious of her younger sister.
