So I decided to make an Influence map too. The original is here: [link] I guess nobody will read this comments, but I want to share few words about each part.

Fantasy: Of course, fantasy, LOTR mainly, old celtic myths, this everything is so much important that it cant be on any other place, then the first and most significant one.

Ackegard: Great drawing technique, and the ability to sketch a cute girl in few strokes of his pencil makes me so jelaous! ^^ ([link] )

Oglaf: Webcomics with another clear, efficient, unique and polished style. Ah, and boobies. Yes, lot of boobies. ([link] )

Music: Music has to inflence people even if they don’t want to. The music that sounds in my room is mostly dnb, dubstep or breakbeat. Must have quite a heavy influence on my art, although very few people could link drumandbass with fantasy atmosphere…

Kája Saudek: Most of Czech people were influenced by his art. This master of the comics surely formed my comics perception when I was young.

Sinfest: Another very important webcomcis (for me), especially in the manner in which it deals with rhytm, pace and storytelling. ([link] )

Rococco: The era of sweetnes, amorous and pastoral dreams.

J. W. Waterhouse and 19. century academic painting: Although not valued for the progress in the art, as is the co-running impresionist and post-impresionist movement, the academic art produced many dreamy mythological paintings, especially Waterhouse, whose work I admire the most. And this young nymph is the best! ^^

Clear design and typography: I am always flattered by seeing design which is clear and innovative. The less you need to tell your message succesfully, the better.

Slayers: My first anime that caught my heart. It had a big part in my decision to draw a webcomics – and to create the character of Alkaran too.

Prague: Everyone who lives in Prague, must be heavily influenced by this beautiful city. We maybe don’t know that, but deep in our heart, the magic of Prague lies and feeds our visions.
