Description Do you ever feel like your being smushed
into mold that doesn’t really fit
for the sake of success.

Why push a star, bright and fascinating,
into a square to make it easier to swallow?
Why push the rush of the ocean, rhythmic and soothing,
into a circle for those not all there.

Why is every thing above
the understanding of the general
suddenly so wrong?

No more understanding
only the spoon-feeding
of square shaped pieces

of uninspired intelligence.

Destroying the whole in favor of the many
without consideration for the few
With eyes that move across the face of this plane
and trace out different paths then those carved deep.

Delving into what is both impossible
and possible
and not just simply known.

A flower sprouts from the cracks

of an industrial world
resilient and optimistic
before it is squelched and scolded

for daring to believe.

The foot does not tread lightly
but rhythmically and routinely
like the softly deafening tick
of a wound up clock.

What is the future if the world
is content to be the metronome
and never the sonata?

Why is there form in what we write?
Pushing words into a predefined mold
to pop out the generic alignment

of a proper sentance.

Sentences to make sense did not need, What if?
Words correctly used by sound and not definition.
Couldn’t we still make sense of it?

Would it free us from a focus
on how it’s said and instead
push us to see how it was felt?

Is coherence writing like a scholar
or merely being able to communicate enough
to show others what we mean
on a basic level.

I fish Herman love
inspires the same emotion
as I love my fish Herman.

This jumble of words gives
off a feeling of a need
to be inspired by nature
is the same as
This poem, “blah”, shows the importance

of taking inspiration of nature.

Why is formality the standard?
Do we not want to inspire discussion?
Should we not write
the way we think
or the way we have intelligent yet friendly conversation?

Formality is so cold and hostile.
It leaves no room for curiosity and uncertainty.

Why can’t I say
I think this bit here is interesting because…
or I adore this line for the truth and emotion it shows..?

Formality is the enemy of emotion
and how can we understand emotion
if there is no place to address it
beyond casual conversation
to a friend or colleague.

What happens when life is wrong?

I adore this, and I don't ever use the word adore. It has a very nice flow to it, and I love all the metaphors a symbolism that creates such detailed visualization in my minds eye. "What is the future if the world is content to be the metronome and never the sonata?" Love that line, among others, really I love the whole thing. So yeah, awesome job

Word Vomit. I like that term. The poem was superb, and I couldn't agree more.
