Last summer I was in Rotorua,a place in the middle of the North Island of New Zealand ,a mystical location with lots of thermal activity,geysers and mudpools..it was an inspiration for this painting,where unknown creatures submerge from the mud..Related content

This is sort of creepy and very cool. The middle mud monster looks angry, whereas the monster in the foreground looks more neutral - it's a great dynamic. The mud looks really gloppy, too, which is good.
Anyway, awesome picture. I'm adding it to my faves.
