Description
I meant this to be a background but really you can use it for anything. I made it very quickly so it may look a bit sloppy. I'm going to try to remake it so it looks better. It took me about 10 minutes in paint.I love the movie RENT and I'm going to see the Broadway play. I'm very happy about that. I love listening to all the songs on the soundtrack. My favorite song is Finale B.

True. Very true. I don't think I have ever visited Avenue A or B when I was in NYC. I've been there a couple of times.

Nice... I'm happy you get to see it. I am going for my 2nd, and possibly last time(unless they revive it) on my birthday(may 27th)...I only hope they do one day revive it. It's just too bad the writings on its walls will be gone soon. They are a part of Broadway history that should NEVER have to be erased...

Indeed, it's such a deep story too. Plus, it helps to bring up the problem of AIDS and HIV.

THAT is why it is so important to me. I actually know a transvestite who has HIV. We call her Angel because of RENT. She was raped by a christian man who thought it would "show her the way"...That's how she got HIV...Angel, Gwen(my tranny girlfriend, and yes, I'm a girl. She's bi.) and I never were christian, and now never will be(not that we would have been either way. I follow the old Native ways, as does Angel, and Gwen is Pegan.)

That's very interesting. Angel was one of my favorite characters. I don't think I've ever met anyone like her though.

She's a rare mindset for a human. That's why. It's likely that you will one day meet someone like her if you look around avenue A or B in NYC because Jon based the story of RENT on that area. Gays, lesbians, bisexuals(me) and trannies are not too hard to find, and transvestites are commonly EXTREMELY kind hearted. Trust me on that.

I'll take your word for it. The story is based on La Boheme the opera. What's very odd is that in class we had to do a report on an opera. My best friend actually got La Boheme to do and I noticed that it is so close to RENT. Jon Larson is a musical genius making something so old into something that states the problems in the world today.

Yes. You're right about La Boheme, but the main focal point for RENT was the life of the time in that area of New York. He'd never have done the play if it weren't for Avenues A and B, and what he saw there, and what he saw growing up in areas similar to it.
