Description
Cartoon character Betty Boop was based on the success of Paramount Pictures top star Clara Bow the "It" Girl. Betty Boop was created by animator Grim Natwick in 1930 for Max Fleischer. Though Fleischer Studios own the copyright, she was Natwick's creation. Natwick later tried to sue the Fleischers, but he had been scammed by the Fleischers out of any deal and did not recieve royalties.
