Description ~Discharge~

Without thinking, Spy ran out into the blizzard. Medic attempted to grab him, but was just out reach with his fingers barely grazing Spy's body.
Spy shielded Scout from the deadly wave of bullets and carried him back to safety. Medic immediately came to Spy's aid, but was surprised that he was still fairly stable considering the amount of damage he took, but none the less, still required some attention.
The war roared out in the distance behind the thick snowfall. Gunshots lit up parts of the hazy night like flashes of lightning, but the exact location of the shooter was anyone's guess.
"Shedfude" Medic mumbled under his breath as he moved from Spy to Scout. "Why do you refuse to listen." He inspected for any serious injuries, fortunately, found none. Scout's tags flashed in his eyes. One of the tags took on an odd concave shape, indicating where the bullet struck. "You're lucky to be alive," Medic huffed and gave Scout an ugly glare.
"The snow's too thick. We all can't get through, not by goin' blind like this," Sniper was slightly holding up the door, barely peeking outside. Spy took a sniff, attempting to map the area but the strong wind was making the task difficult.
"Can't get a clear indication for where anything is. Everything is distorted."
Sniper examined the limited field he could see. "Engi once gave me this little trinket - to improve my performance in battle. I still have it on me," he lifted his rifle and pointed at the laser. There was a tiny black box hidden behind the laser and had four tiny light bulbs that formed a cross in the back. "The thing can detect enemies and directs me where t' aim. I can cover ya and might be able to get all you across the field." Spy considered Sniper's plan, but concluded it was too risky to leave him alone. It was better to be safe in numbers.
"No, there must be a better option."
"Look, mate. We don't have any time t' argue. If we risk waiting any longer, then there's the chance of the REDs retreating to us." He motioned to Medic and Scout, “We ain't exactly the strong'st of the team. We're bloody support and Scout's our best attacker."
"But you are aware that-" Spy growled from under Sniper's hand and furrowed his eyes at him.
"I know, but it might've switched to Sudden Death. But I don't want to find out and be wrong. So, start moving." He gave Spy a good shove away from him and to the door.
"Spy, ve must leave." Medic placed his hand on Spy's shoulder, understanding the situation and sharing the same worry as Spy.
"Don't worry. I'll be fine." He grinned at Spy, but Spy remained planted to his spot. While Medic gathered the group, Sniper turned on the device and checked for any enemies. Once given the okay, Medic led the team out the doors.
The frigid, cold air whipped at the three and one large gust nearly knocked Scout off his feet. Stumbling out from the blinding blizzard came an enemy Soldier. He appeared to be knocked back by something and fell in front of trio. Without missing a beat, the Soldier pulled out his battered shovel and swung it. While in mid-attack, a bullet swiftly penetrated through both helmet and head. While his body was still falling to the snow, another bullet sounded and Spy heard another body collapse nearby. Then a third bullet rang. It whizzed by but was followed by a metallic clank, a miss.
A moment later, the RED Scout jumped out from the storm and tackled their Scout. The two tangled into a ball and rolled out of view behind the heavy curtain of snow. Spy wanted to chase after them but that would leave Medic exposed.
"I'm sure he'll ve fine," Medic assured and nudged Spy forward. They hurried towards the lights and the screams became silent again. Sudden Death, he hoped, was taking its toll.

Then Sniper's gunshots ceased and Spy began to worry. He wasn't sure if they had travel too far and he had to change positions, or the RED were all eliminated... or something worse. Anxious thoughts began to torment to him and the more he worried, the harder it was to resist turning back.
But so close. The base's lights were just ahead. As the building became clearer, so was a shadow figure standing guard. In its hand was a bright, red flicker.
The Pyro stood there, staring at them, somehow with a sense of hatred. Both BLUs were terrified, trying to swallow down their fear and appear unfazed. Despite healing both Spy and Scout earlier, Medic was still far from getting an über, and with two against one, it still wouldn't match against the Pyro's might.

Suddenly the Pyro charged full speed at them, like a bull, but in place of horns were snaking flames. The Pyro focused solely on Spy and homed towards him. Instinctually, Spy shoved Medic out of harm and began leading the bull away. Although he was fast, he knew he couldn't run forever, so he sprinted until he was a good distance ahead of the flames. He abruptly stopped, got down to all fours and charged back at the Pyro.
The flames reflected in the Pyro's dark lens but before the they touched Spy's fur, he slipped just below them. The Pyro raced to smash the fire on top of him but wasn't quick enough. Spy grabbed the Pyro's ankles and, using his momentum, forced it to fall forwards and causing it to let go of the flamethrower.
Spy quickly dragged the Pyro away from his weapon and swung him against a rock, buying some time for Medic and him to escape. The Pyro crawled to his feet and retrieved the weapon, turning around to sweep the area in fire. The fire scorched Spy's back but the thick fur prevented it from burning skin, momentarily.
The Pyro kept lashing out flames, forcing Spy to separate from Medic. The flames drew closer and he had to take a step back, followed by another and another. He caught on to the Pyro's plan, noticing how fast the chain link fence was approaching his back. No matter what other direction he turned, it was blocked by a wall of fire.
The Pyro cornered him against a boulder and the fence. He eagerly closed in to finish the deed.
There was a small gap between the rock and fence and out of desperation, Spy leapt through it. Now, out of bounds, he was at Death's mercy, anything outside the field wasn't completely protected by Respawn and no rules apply- this was no man’s land.
To his amazement, the Pyro continued his pursuit and clobbered over the fence. Spy had never seen the Pyro act so aggressive, as he watched the Pyro hastily scale up the chain link fence and tug through the barbed wire while battling the wind and the flamethrower jolting on his back.
Spy looked for anything that could stall the Pyro, who was now jumping over the fence. He spotted a boulder peeking out from under the snow. Usually he would struggle with a rock this size, but thanks to either his new form or the adrenaline, he found the strength to not just pick it up but throw it at the Pyro. The Pyro noticed the massive rock hurling towards him and attempted to jump out the way only to end up getting his foot caught. Muffled grunts came out from him as he tried to wiggle his foot out, it was helpless.
Kill it. Something overcame Spy as he watched the Pyro struggle and squirm. Every part of him telling him to escape, yet finding himself creeping closer. Shockingly, he kneeled down to all fours and loomed closer to the preoccupied Pyro, spiraling tighter and faster around the helpless thing. Eventually he was in favorable proximity and he pounced on his victim. The Pyro gave a short shriek at the unexpected attack while sharp claws pierced through the suit and into flesh. The animal then opened his mouth revealing sharp fangs, primed and aimed for his quarry's throat. Before the final blow was dealt, the Pyro managed to slide his weapon between the jaws. Only a 3-inch metal pipe held him from his kill, and from the groans it would not hold against his much longer. Fear radiated from the withering body under the cuts and further fed his bloodlust. Determined and hungry, he thrushed himself against the Pyro forcing it to collapse backwards in the snow, now choking from the weight. It was only when something whistled by, followed by a burning sensation, did he retreat from his trance. Spy then realized he was on fire and quickly started digging in the snow to extinguish himself.
The Pyro quickly regained itself and rapidly began rocking the boulder until it was enough to remove his foot. He limped to the burnt Spy and took up his partially damaged flamethrower. Spy saw the flames hurtling towards him and immediately rolled away. He tried to jump the Pyro again, but the roaring fire discouraged any attempts. Spy knew his options were limited, knowing his enemy has the advantage again.
He darted deeper in to the woodlands, the fire tailing behind but due to a lame foot, it quickly fell behind. Searching for a hiding place, he came across a large, tall tree. He clawed up its trunk until he felt high enough to be out of the Pyro's range. The sinister foe easily spotted the marks and immediately began chopping the trunk with its axe. Spy growled and roared at the RED below him, hoping to discourage it further into giving up. With the last of its flamethrower fuel, the thing lit the tree ablaze. The fire raced up the tree, forcing Spy to climb higher and higher until there was nothing left to climb. It was too high for him to jump, but the fire was licking below his waist now. Then there was a loud crack splintering from below and the tree toppled over. Spy jump to a smaller neighboring tree and slid down, but with feet and hands just receiving second degree burns, he had to let go, leaving him falling half way down and hitting every branch to break his fall. Unfortunately, in that process, multiple branches jabbed into him before reaching the bloody ground.
With his limps burned and body stabbed, Spy could barely manage to lift his head off the ground. The fire above spread from one great tree to another, each one darkening to pitch black, surrounded in the merciless fury with only the small bright embers and ash escaping into the black cloudy sky.
He turned around and found the monster staggering a few feet from him. Its suit was covered in ash and burns, the tree must've fell on top of it, and Spy could still smell nothing but rich iron emitting of it. The thing held a flare in one hand and an ax in the other.
Wounds slowly healing, Spy tried to get up, however his limps were still too badly burned to use and remained paralyzed. Smoke suffocated the air around him as the fire spread to a massive scale and flaming limbs fell crashed from the trees. Yet he could still hear the crunching snow grow louder until stopping beside him. Spy swiped at the being, but merely scratched the boot.
The dreaded thing strained itself to raise its axe above Spy head, then brought it down in a swift swing.
It laid 6 inches off its mark.
The Pyro slowly dropped to its knees then fell before Spy. The white pillow of snow comforting its head was leaking a deep crimson shade.
From the blazes walked Medic with Sniper. Spy took one last look at the Pyro. Whether the moment was good, or bad, it's expression was same as always - just blank with those glossy eyes always directed at him.
Behind its head, there was something gleaming in its hand. He made the effort to reach out and picked up the small object. They were the dog tags. He dropped them while fighting the Pyro, and, for some reason, it took them. He took another look into the Pyro's eyes, trying see the figure behind that mask but only saw his own reflection.
Both Medic and Sniper dragged Spy out from the fire as the woods were crumbling down around them. Once out, Medic quickly pulled out the stakes and brought down his medigun to heal up his comrade.
"Ya... co-could've... died," Sniper coughed, irritated, but at least finally breaking the silence. Though, everyone remained silent until Spy was healed enough to walk again and headed back to the fence. "Don't ever go back out there," Sniper huffed.
"Was that the last of the RED team?” Spy asked as they crawled back over the fence. Medic shook his head with a grim expression.
"Zhere are two still alive," he finished healing Spy - and was now overhealing, "and only zhree of us." Sniper then notice Spy holding something.
"What ya got there?" Sniper came up behind Spy, curious and fascinated about the shiny object.
"Just these..." Spy held out the metal plates then looked at Sniper and was puzzled. His teammate appeared to be in a trance, his eyes completely zoned on the plates as the hung in the air. Medic took interest into the plates as well, but was more concerned about Sniper. He snapped his fingers in front of Sniper's face, hoping to receive a response.
"Sniper. Sniper! Ack, Sp-" Sniper suddenly jumped and stared at Spy.
"You..." Sniper backed away, his horrified expression twisting into anger. "This al' happen b'cause of you!" He tightly gripped the handle of his knife and held it out threateningly. Spy stepped back.
"Sniper, calm down." Medic rushed in to hold him back.
"Cal' down? After wot he's done?" The Medic narrowed his eyes in response. "Ya remember, don't you," Sniper hissed with rage.
"Bitte, Sniper. Vhat happened is zhe past, ve cannot change it." Medic put himself in front Spy. "Move on."
Spy had no clue to what they were talking about, but looking at the metal plates and listening to them, they were giving him a migraine.
"Why ya defend'in him?!" Sniper took a step forward, stomping on the snow beneath his boot. "Hasn't he cause you 'nough pain," he sneered in Medic's face yet Medic remained still.
The migraine was worsening. Spy placed a palm to his forehead in hope to ease the stress, and continued to listen to the plates - there was something. Why is it so hard?

"He hasn't done any good, not since that two-shoed scrandrel betray'd us!" Something clicked in Spy's mind and everything came flooding in back to him. His emotions twisted and tore as he relived his past life. A family, a life, abandonment, desperation, truth and the denial. Everything he thought he was and everything he is now. He snapped back to reality, his vision warped and hearing muffled. He had smashed some sort of barrier in his mind and it was now punishing him.
The blurry figure of Sniper appeared to push Medic aside and phased through his teammate a bit, he always thought that was a glitch from respawn.
Sniper's dark metal blade came out as a black blur and was flying towards him. Spy tumbled to the snow on his left, hearing a muffled crunch under him. Thinking the blade's teeth missed, he attempted to bounce back up but, a shock to his side brought him back down. The white around him was turning red and there was stinging feeling on his right side. A large deep gash, lined up from his hip to his under arm, was bleeding heavily. The snow was quickly melting away from the amount of blood he was losing and can hear his heart beat slowing. Sniper approached him and bent down.
"Pathetic, I expect'd more from you." He hovered over the crippled Spy, cleaning the blade on his shirt and leaving blood smeared on over his blue chest.
"Please, don't do this." Spy shift to lean on his elbow and shuffle away from Sniper, hoping his wound will heal fast enough for him to flee. "I understand, I hurt you badly- broke you, but-" Sniper jumped on him, causing great pain and reopening the slow healing gash.
"Don't give me that Spy talk!" He spat in his face holding the blade deadly close to his throat. "Y'er right 'bout one thing though, y'er are a monster." The blade's teeth pressed against his throat.
Then the unlikely happened. A whistle was heard followed by a stray arrow embedded into Sniper's shoulder, causing him to retract the blade from Spy's throat. They forgot they were still in a battle against two REDs. Sniper examined the dead field, seeing nothing and hearing only the howling wind. Spy took the opportunity to sneak away, but didn't get far when he felt a barrel aimed at his head.
"Enough!" Medic pulled at Sniper's vest to get him away from Spy but Sniper just pushed Medic aside again. This time, he wasted no time; he took the blade and thrush it at Spy's chest. It halted at the last second, barely pricking his skin. Medic had put himself between the blade and Spy, but he was bleeding where the blade had gone through him.
"What?"
"Bonjour" The Medic coughed with a smirk and voice that wasn't his. A knife was flicked open. He pushed up against the blade to get closer and swung his knife around until it met with Sniper's back. He then leaned into Sniper's ear, "Bon nuit," he whispered. Sniper's body went limp and his eyes slowly closed. A breeze blew the hat away and snow gently gathered on top his hair and eye lashes. The disguised faltered and revealed the RED, releasing both knife and body.
"P-pourquoi?" Was the only thing Spy could manage to say.
"Tu sais pourquoi." The RED answered with a slight chuckle before lying down beside Sniper.
The speakers then sounded in the distance, claiming that BLU's victory. Medic appeared from the snow, his bone saw bloody with fresh blood.
"He told me to," Medic looked down with guilt then kneeled by Spy, "he held me captive so I vould not intervere. But zhings did not go as planned..." The medigun hummed as it healed the last half of the wound. "He knew all zhis vould be too much. And zhat zhis isn't zhe best time for a reunion... Komm," he transitioned from sitting to standing. "Let’s go inside" He extended his hand to help Spy up. Spy took it and the two walked in to the base, surely by now, the team respawned – hopefully, at least one.
