Born into a future decimated by fire, Silver always fought to create a better time for himself and the entire world. He has fought to protect the future countless times and in numerous battles alongside Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends but has found his future in peril time and again. Eventually, Silver realized that it wasn't enough, although he was powerful with his psychokinesis. He needed more power, far more than anything he was capable of before. Thus, he got to work. He went to his own time and threw into intense psychic training. Silver delved deep into the recesses of his mind through a series of mental simulations, refining his psychokinetic abilities, focusing on every aspect of his power. Eventually, he hit a breakthrough. With training complete, his power skyrocketed, and he could do more with his abilities to level the playing field against significantly powerful threats to protect the future.

Silver's new ability, ESP, is a state he can take to access the full potential of his psychokinesis. He comes enveloped in a wispy light-blue aura of pure psychic energy. His standard abilities are far more potent. He can reach a much wider range and get a stronger hold on enemies. Moreover, he has total control of pure psychokinetic force, unleashing destructive energy blasts and creating powerful shields. Finally, he developed what is essentially a sixth sense, allowing him to predict enemy attacks and counter them.
