Description
Moonlight’s Edge is a daitō (Japanese longsword) attached to a black handle with a round silver guard. Embedded at both sides of the sword’s scabbard are four sets of pearls that represent each of the Moon’s phases, leading to a full Moon on the left side and a new Moon a the right. The sword was forged by a young craftsman who created some of the greatest weapons of his generation. Inspired by his grandmother's tale of the Moon goddess, using a Moon rock he received from his grandmother on his eighteenth birthday before she passed away, the craftsman forged Moonlight Edge’s as both a tribute to her and the Moon goddess.
Abilities
- Immense Cutting Power and Durability: Moonlight's Edge is a sword known for its sharpness, able to cut through enemy weaponry and even pierce armor and solid material such as wood and stone. The sword's greatest attribute is its durability being able to withstand the weight of a thirty-ton boulder without bending or breaking. Both qualities together make Moonlight's Edge remarkable in the hands of a master.
- Lunar Empowerment: Moonlight's Edge has a unique, mystical connection to the Moon. During a full or new Moon, the sword increases immensely in strength, and becomes slightly heavier, adding to its cutting power. At the peak of its power, the Moonlight's Edge can cut the seas themselves. Legend has it that the Moon goddess was so pleased with the craftsman's honoring of his grandmother’s memory and tribute to her that she blessed the blade with her power.
