New lunar moth. Lots of work that's gone into this piece including stone settings. also already sold. sterling, nickel silver, brass, green garnet chain, the wings 'eyes' are rose cut sapphires, filigree of the wing veins filled with resin. silver box clasp with another sapphire and hand forged cherry blossom.both the moth and the flower are created after the real things not simply stylized.

The ones we work with are very simple and black. And they are made of an aluminum/copper compound so they're a little thick.

now im really curious. aluminum copper? its not on a non conductive substrate like fiberglass/polyester? and black is a hard color for me to get really.. i have very few pieces. red, blue, and green are the most common colors.

The circuit itself is a copper vein whereas the rest is the compound. It's for street light circuit boards where there is a lot of output. Unfortunately the company recycles their scrap.

I'm always working on new pieces. i kind of planed to eventually go through the entire family of lunar moths and a few other butterflies.

theres some really incredible ones if you look at other countries.. i think theres one in madigascar thats yellow and brown with long yellow tails that are ruffled deardrop shapes.
