Mary followed Grossett to his office, which carried on the stark, almost spaceship-like look of the waiting room with a color palate that did not deviate from the whites, blacks and shades of gray. “So what makes you feel you need my services?” Dr. Grossett asks flat out. Mary tries to give an evasive answer while referencing one of the missing girls. “Well, I have been having some personal problems and my friend Evelyn mentioned how she was looking forward to coming here, so I wanted to see things for myself.” Dr. Grossett’s smile grows even wider. “Oh is that so? Well, Evelyn never mentioned you, but that can be fixed rather quickly.” He gestured towards the door, “Evelyn my dear, come in.”

Mary was shocked to see Evelyn walk in with an almost blank stare. She wore a plain short white dress with white knee-high boots and gloves. A pair of round spectacles with metallic frames and some neon-green lights adorned her face. “Yes doctor?” Evelyn says in a very monotone voice. “Have you met our friend Mary here? She said you recommended my office to her?” The Doctor asks inquisitively. “I have never seen her before” Evelyn replied.

Mary becomes even more nervous as beads of sweat begin to drip down her face. “Well Mary, it looks as though I've caught you in a lie. Now that begs the question of who you are.” Doctor Grossett asks with more force. Before Mary can react, she could feel a rag being placed over her mouth. Mary quickly passes out as Evelyn releases the chloroform rag from Mary’s mouth. “Now my dear Evelyn, could you please take Miss Mary to a gurney. She wished for my therapeutic treatment, it would be rude for me to reject her request.” Dr. Grossett gestured for Evelyn to carry Mary away...
