Sixth instalment in the Sailor Moon artwork series, Sailor Neptune! I've done this one quite in advance, some of you have seen the making of it on LiveStream two weeks ago.This one particular artwork is my favourite so far. Sailor Neptune always appeared as the prettiest of the Sailor scouts to me (I blame it on the hair) and I really wanted to transpose it in this piece. I'm quite satisfied with the outcome.

The art style for this Sailor Scout line seems to be heavily inspired by Rumiko Takahashi's earlier works, like Urusei Yatsura. Any truth in that assumption?

You mean the way I drew her or the way she was originally designed?
At least, both cases seem possible to me (though I don't really consider my drawing style to be close to Rumiko Takahashi's).

Of your Sailor Moon series, I definitely think this is the most beautiful one in the sense of "she's pretty". It also has a great sense of calmness, must be the whole water theme.
I mean, even her hair is wavy, and the waves in the symbol is a really nice final touch.
