Because I missed last year's and also this idea wouldn't leave my gray matter when it invaded so here you go.

See, ever since Dr. Agatha Berkley "discovered" Kurgen, she's been camping out in his living room "studying" him and his kind. Kurgen didn't mind it at first, but it's gotten a bit creepy the way she sometimes narrates her findings...out loud...when he's less than 5 feet away.

If you weren't just a twinkle in your father's eye in the 1990s, you may remember a similar character from the show Taz-Mania that studied Taz's family the same way. Had her own screen/hiding place next to their TV if I remember correctly.
