This is so great!, I'm working on landscape for mine. What material did you use to make the rocks and land?

Hi there, thanks!! Sorry for my late reply, have a lot of things going on!! Anyway,it is a bit difficult to explain the whole process, but i will try my best: Main levels (the ones the houses are sitting on) are made of 3mm ply wood. If you want to make big parts of land (like hills or mountains)use styro-foam to shape the main volumes(the blue foam is better and has great density, i know it as DOW).On top of that u can use plaster together with plaster gauze to make it stronger. Once it sets, use tools to scrape or brake, takes time and needs to be tried lots of times to produce a good result. For rocks i used AVES putty ([link] ), i material i really love, but u need to work with it for a while to achieve best results. I used dental tools and other tools to create textures...As for dirt, little rocks etc., i used train modelling standard stuff(like woodland scenics, heki. etc...)...Hope i helped out, any question feel free to ask!!!Good luck!

Thank you so much, do you think it would be ok if i use paper mache instead of plaster to shape the mountains or such?

Sure, u just have to use wood glue diluded in a bowl of water. Dip your paper mache in the bowl and then apply it to whatever surface u have made as a base. Make sure the glue is not very "watery". U can also use a brush, dipping in the bowl and then applying it.A bit messy, but it will work. It all comes down to what level of detail u want to achieve and above all how much time u want to spend. I rarelly use paper mache because it doesn't give any room for improvement once it sets.

I didn't even realize this was a diorama when I first took a look at it, but when I read the description and took a closer look, I had only the one thing to say, "Holy Sh!t, that's awesome!"

This is absolutely amazing. Like most, I also thought it was real.
But I have a stupid question. At the mid-right, I think that's a fountain? ...Is that a woman's head? I'm very confused there.

Thank you, you my friend have the eyes of a hawk!! What u see is the trunk of the tree which is painted white(so that no pests can harm the tree) and on it is a poster of a very famous Greek actress. They used to put up posters on the trees, especially the one in the center of the village where most people would gather..Thus the female head..!!

At first I was like pfft, it's just a photo of a street in Greece but then as I was clicking off Patsy in the corner (whom I was having over for dinner tonight, which is why you don't see him after his party encounters Tim The Enchanter) said, "Actually, Oy thank it's only a model." And upon closer examination, my mind was blown.

Cool...this a typical "feel" that most remote villages in Greece have, it's amazing and feels great when u walk around all the narrow streets they have...
