-Favorite and longest staying pokemon on his team is Umbreon, whom Ciel favors and likes to keep out of pokeball following him around.
-Has an intense, somewhat irrational rivalry and hatred towards his twin brother, Earl (Fairy gym leader)
-Though he is not necessarily humble about his power/skill and likes to display it, half the time he feels a little insecure about his power (mainly due to the fact that he loses easily and often to Earl's fairy type. However, Ciel is the last gym leader, above Earl.)
- he puts poison moves where he can on his dark pokemon, and hopes Lucario is his trump card against Earl. Lucario, although not dark, is his second favorite/strongest pokemon for this reason. He collected Lucario (riolu) before he became a dark type gym leader; now if he could not get away with using Lucario in the gym, he would use his Hydreigon.

-Generally practical, factual, agreeable, does team work well
-physically fit and agile. Prefers defensive, and speed
-50% (generally around people, in public) appearing serious, quiet and calm, the other 50% (generally by himself with his pokemon or with close people) of the time he is a little grumpy and frank. He doesn't like to show any negative traits about himself in public. Only Earl can bring out strong frustration and anger
-Though he puts on a powerful independent facade (he likes to appear epic), deep down he is a softie who gets nervous when he thinks he made someone angry, loyal and actually prefers taking orders over giving orders. Is a rather gentle person.
- feels a lot more emotion on the inside than shown on the outside

-somewhat materialistic, stingy about losing money necessarily, but would not hesitate to use money gifting lots of things for his close friends, pokemon etc
-somewhat naive and inexperienced to relationships / love, but he compliments girls/people openly and nonchalantly behind their backs. Has no intention to pursue relationship about those he talks about though
-His first pokemon was Mightyena, who died (was with him from 1 to age 8, was a childhood family pokemon for the children. Though Earl did not take such a liking to (initially) Poochyena, driving Ciel to favor it even more). This was a traumatic experience for Ciel. even now when he is alone and talking to himself, he addresses Mightyena.
-Honchkrow is his little punching bag; friendly subject he picks on / bully / makes do all the work _
- Umbreon: both he and his brother were gifted an Eevee from hatching on their 9th birthday
-he caught all his pokemon in regular pokeballs because he thought it would look classy.
