You've done such an amazing job with this, i think the bit i find the best is that you've managed to keep the paper wet enough to bend the colours on his face really well. At first look of this picture i wouldn't have said it was in watercolour because its been so well blended. Thank you so much for the gift work over on Ao3. As you've probably read i really needed something like this to cheer me up. Thank you dear friend.

His face looks so perfectly drawn, the realism is great and I don't mind the ivory in his hair. If anything I like it. Of course I'm no art teacher, but I adore mixing mediums and I mix them rather insanely - I use markers and watercolours and pencils, often all in the same piece. Sometimes I use even weirder things like candlewax to draw. But for me art is all about experimentation and fun.Β
If anything I'd say that the shading on his face looks a little too dark, in contrast with how light the right ride of the room is and how dark his skin looks as if the room was darker - I don't know, looks slightly off to me, but I'm no expert so - yeah. Great piece. Β
