BLUE PUNCH BUGGY!!!

*achems* Sorry. I have to say I love these jams even more when you post a character I love I'm also get really happy when I can tell which one's yours. One day I actually have time, I need to start watching the rest of the guys you jam with.

Yours is my favorite this time 'round, I think. You've matched the original style of the animation very well with this one

where do these jams come up... seems everyone does them somewhere, and they're a great way of keeping your hand in and drawing things you wouldn't usually.... but i can never find any to get in on

so where do they turn up...

and i dont need to mention yours seem to kick arse... they usually do

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

theCHAMBA In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-18 17:25:33 +0000 UTC]

it's usually an MSN thing, happens on spot

thing is it could happen any time really

really its jst about being at the right place, at the right time

Neil-Googe In reply to theCHAMBA [2006-10-19 00:27:48 +0000 UTC]

ahhhhh ok... fair enough.... maybe i'll have jams of my own... that'll show ya

they're a great idea though... maybe i'll just follow up on yours on my own, for the practice

yeah

just after replying yesterday i found a good way round it on eric canetes site, once or twice a week he does a 90 minute image and i kid you not they're freaking awesome... knowing how long things take me, to think they only take him 90 minutes freaks me out.

anyway... i'll start doing those.... im hoping they'll speed up my comic process as well

speak soon fella

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 15:47:48 +0000 UTC]

Eric scared the life outta me when he posted up those environments as 90 minuters until he mentioned that he was just kidding. That guy is a beast and in person one the coolest folks you'll meet.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 17:29:36 +0000 UTC]

wait a minute... does he not do them in 90 mins... or was it just the environments that he doesn't do in 90 mins.... cause some of them seem to have so much work in them...

seems like a nice guy reading his blog... and i absolutely love his work... was a huge influence during my first excursion in to comics... along with dave johnson and jason pearson.... now i try to avoid the artists i really like a little more, at least until i think i've found my own feet a little more

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 17:34:04 +0000 UTC]

Most of everything in those 90 minute jams ARE 90 minutes. It's just a couple of those SERIOUS environments he was joking about doing in 90. I clenched up at first until I read further.

I know what you mean about avoidance to get your feet. Oh and hey, I found an anthology book from Com.X with what I THINK is the first foray of Julez. I still remember seeing that back when and thinking 'yup, this dude's goin somewhere.'

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 17:38:08 +0000 UTC]

ahhhhhh ok... thats bloody amazing though.... git i'm gonna start doing two a week as well i think... is a great way to keep the hand fresh, and speed things up as well.... which i could do with.... how do they go about choosing what to draw though...

ahhhh com.x... those were the days.... im actually in the process of getting jules ready to re launch actually.... im looking forward to it now its me and no one else... and thanks for the compliment... hopefully this time round though jules will look a little cuter... she was a little unattractive before

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 17:41:30 +0000 UTC]

haha. I'd love to see some new Julez stuff. You know what. I'm gonna pitch a Julez jam at the guys tonight.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 17:45:34 +0000 UTC]

cool

i'll do her as my second 90 minute image.... i have a character for a friend as my first

will be interested to see what you do.... although on the relaunch, i've matured the idea a little more now... seeing as its been a few years, the whole idea's just developed a little more

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 17:46:47 +0000 UTC]

Awesome. i can't wait to see what you've done with it. You putting it through Wildstorm or going the indy route again?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 18:22:10 +0000 UTC]

i'll most likely go through wildstorm this time.... have been chatting the them about the possibilities of doing a few creator owned bits and pieces.... the plan is to get 4 or 5 things out over the next few years, i'll do the art on jules and steve huge myself (and hopefully if the robin pitch comes off i'll do that too) but i'll probably just write the others then maybe put a few bits through image and maybe look at a couple of the other smaller publishers.... not that in really know any of them though

oh and you've so just given me my first 100 90 minute pieces... i'm gonna have a go at your journal thing... thats a great idea

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 18:23:23 +0000 UTC]

I think Wildstorm needs more creator owned projects. I love Wildstorm and the creativity, it just needs to expand more.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 18:59:42 +0000 UTC]

yeah i think both the bigger companies could maybe do with a few more creator owned bits... would add some extra flavor to the soup... im sure some of the bigger writers must have some great ideas, problem is to release them through any other company means a drop in pay... and i doubt most people are in a position to take a cut in pay, specially once you're used to the money they're probably earning... and so unless they can put them through someone who can match the pay they never get aired....

shame

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

NinjaBits In reply to Neil-Googe [2006-10-19 19:07:41 +0000 UTC]

yeah it really is a shame. Though I think with things like Marvel's 'Unlimited' series of books which are like mini-anthologies it gives writers and artists outlets for non-canon stories. May not be creator owned but it does stray outside of the norm which is nice.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Neil-Googe In reply to NinjaBits [2006-10-19 20:07:09 +0000 UTC]

yeah this is true... i think the more chances the bigger companies give writers to truly express them selves, the better it will be for the industry as a whole, main stream and indy... and i really think the industry needs it at the moment.... unfortunately

jmk1999 [2006-10-18 16:46:22 +0000 UTC]

looks great, though i find it hard to believe that only one of you decided to really stray away from the regular lilo & stitch style.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

theCHAMBA In reply to jmk1999 [2006-10-18 17:26:07 +0000 UTC]

how is that hard to believe?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jmk1999 In reply to theCHAMBA [2006-10-21 02:46:25 +0000 UTC]

don't know... always expected people kinda add their own flavor to stuff. but it's all good. i faved and it love it.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

theCHAMBA In reply to jmk1999 [2006-10-21 02:47:54 +0000 UTC]

that's totally understandable

i jst respect and am inspired by chris sanders style to the point that his style might rub off quite alot when drawing his characters

good deal. you did a great job on it... and yes, i can see a bit of your style showin through in it. you should think about coloring it... then do a jasmine art jam next.
