Description The Siege of Gondor, which is surprisingly drawn onto A6 - a tiny canvas for such a large image. I didn't expect to go into so much detail, but I had a bunch of fine pens around and decided to put them to good use.

In the foreground, we have a Fountain Guard - a spearman of the Citadel of Minas Tirith. (Perhaps this is Beregond!) Notable for the white tree and seven stars emblazoned on his scabbard. Below the walls he stands defiantly upon, the armies of Mordor amass in the Pelennor Fields - with siege towers, huge pikes and the aid of the Nazgul riders flying above.

The great ram of Mordor - Grond - can be seen emerging near the back of the formations, and if you look closely you'll see the Mumakil and the Haradrim gathering to the left way at the back. I drew in Barad Dur as well as Minas Morgul visible from Minas Tirith, whereas I don't think they actually are supposed to be visible. I figured they add to the intimidation. And, of course, Mount Doom soars into the dark clouds.
