Back in the 90s, wearing jackets over superhero costumes was all the rage. The Avengers were no exception. I don't think the Scarlet Witch ever wore one, so I was curious how it would look on her!

Blame it all on Black Canary. She started it. Or was it Johnny Thunder? Ha!

Now that you say it, yes it's kind of a Black Canary look!

I personally believe that the terrible artists who came to the fore during the 90s could not draw wrists, waists, or ankles, and would do anything they could to cover up their appalling lack of artistic training and skill.  That being said, jackets can be absolutely fantastic costume elements.

I love your linework with Scarlet Witch here, I especially love her face and fantaaaaastic legs!  Regarding the experiment though, the jacket definitely doesn't do it for me at least, over her costume XD

Yes for the most eminent stuff of the 90s I tend to agree, but there were still a lot of 80s and even 70s artists working on series, it was pretty diverse through the first half at least, which I enjoyed.

Glad you like them legs Now that I look at it, it's kind of a bottomless look XD

Bottomless <3 !!

Oh yeah definitely the 80s and 70s artists were still doing great work, it's just that so many of the guys who really became popular were kind of terrible and very same-y.

One of the artists I really liked was Bret Blevins, I loved his New Mutants work in the 80s, he wasn't afraid to use manga influences even in the 80s before such things became popular!  He was still doing really nice stuff in the 90s.  There was a cover for... xfactor? xcalibur?  I can't remember... anyway, there was a cover he did in the 90s for one of those that had Wolfsbane <3 and Collossus on the cover (iirc) and it was just fantastic and it just jumped off the comic rack at me because it looked so different from the trash on the other covers and looked so GOOD!  I bought that issue even though I wasn't following the book just because of his art.

That's what makes it great comic book art- if it catches your attention in this way!
I know his name but wasn't too familiar with his works. I have to keep an eye open for it!

Yes please, keep an eye out for his work!  I'm gonna try to find that comic if I can so I can scan or take a photo of the cover XD I wanna share it!

He was one of those rare amazing artists who was completely capable of drawing cute and sexy young teen girls of varying proportions and ... stages of maturity (Just like how you are ALSO one of those rare amazing artists who can!!!), and he was replaced with Liefeld and McFarlane (primarily Liefeld) who still don't know how to draw an adult woman, let alone a teenage girl, and it was in those pages during the death throes of the New Mutants comic that Liefeld created Cable. Which is why I HATE the character Cable and cannot respect it, at all.
