DESU.I normally-well, make that very rarely-draw anime, but this was for a contest specifically for it so there I went!
There are two reasons why I don't usually draw in an anime style.
1. I stink at it.
2. I lack a developed style with anime. This just looks like some generic anime girl, that any artist could have done it. Like it has no personal touch-Because, wel, I like to think that when you see my art, you can kind of tell that it's me without even seeing my name.
I'm not dissing on anime, I love anime, I'm just not good at drawing it XD
She's saying "Please choose me!" and she's in the Decora Japanese fashion.
Yea, her foot is messed up.

It kind of is, in a way XD See, it's for an anime art contest and the type of people entering are teenage anime fangirls, so I wanted to make something that would appeal to them so they would vote for me. Thus, I made a generic anime girl doing a piece sign with cat ears and saying something that they won't understand.
So yes, it kind of is satirical XD
And the patterns are apart of the decora style- It's a Japanese subculture in which you pretty much throw on whatever clothes you have that are colorful. Like this.

and most of my gallery is indeed in that style...
but just because i like drawing it...
it doesn't mean i'm any good. lmaooo

How were you thrown off?
It's not that I CAN'T draw it, it just feels awkward. It's a style that I'm just not used to, so it's hard for me to get it at a place where I can feel good about it.

When a girl talks about her boyfriend to another friend of hers...
she refers to him as her "λ¨μΉ" (Nam Chin)
It's a word formed from taking λ¨(Nam) from λ¨μ(Nam Ja) which means "Male/Boy"...
and taking μΉ(Chin) from μΉκ΅¬(Chin Gu) which means "Friend"
In short... λ¨μμΉκ΅¬ becomes λ¨μΉ. lmao

The only time I really used references for positions and motion is when i'm speed sketching people on subways.
it was a really soothing past time and i'd really like to do that again ^^
hopefully, i'll have more time in a month or so...
my mom AND dad barges in my room ALL THE TIME.
That's why i insisted to position my desk facing the door...
so i can switch windows before they get to my screen >D

Seriously, when I started practicing with photos, my anatomy skills went through the roof. If you compare a picture I did this time last year and one I have now, it's crazy.
