Jeez I haven't drawn in like a month. ;_; Technically I've doodled in notebooks and made Adobe Illustrator vectors for class, but otherwise I've only made some quick, unfinished doodles and nothing else. Both March and April have been low activity months for me and I apologize. This semester has been rough, but it's almost over.
Also! I finally figured out something that should have been obvious from the start. Whenever I use references, I usually am constantly clicking between my art program and my google images search to use my references. Recently in Motion Graphics class I saw someone import their reference image into the art program they were using and I had the realization of a lifetime. Having your references on the canvas saves so much time! Wish I had figured that out years ago...If you ever needed an example of how dense I am, this is a good one.

Anyways, here's some Puyo Puyo fan art. :U Ally and Rafisol are very new characters, only appearing in the newest game (and the gatcha mobile game). Ally seems kind of like she's supposed to be the fourth protagonist (or something like that??) while Rafisol is an antagonist...I think. The game is only in Japan but I think fans are going to translate it? Rafisol got such a short amount of screen time though so I wonder if they'll both appear again sometime.

Despite not knowing much about the plot of the game, I do have a slight complaint...these are the only new characters introduced to this "4th" world (5th if you include the Tetris characters). While Arle has the other Madou characters, Amitie has the Primp Town residents, and even Ringo's game gave us three other characters, Ally only gets Rafisol. We don't get to see any friends, rivals; anyone else from her world. I understand that the Puyo cast is already super large, but I feel like Ally needed more characters native to her world to flesh her out a bit more...but idk, I don't know exactly what happens in Chronicles. I will continue to wish for a localization...or maybe a Switch port in English.

Regardless, Puyo Puyo characters are fun to draw. So bright and colorful.
