Time for another character bio! If my math is correct, I think this is the 64th bio I've made this year. Last year I somehow got 121 done but I doubt I'll get that many done this year. XD But as long as I'm making progress I'm happy.

Name: Lock (also known as "The Gatekeeper")

Gender: Male (he/him/himself)

Species: Bear

Favorite Food: Raspberry Pie

Abilities: Is the only one who knows the password to unlock a gate/portal that an S-Class demon is sealed in. Also might have some basic combat abilities.

Likes: Punk music, rock music, computer games, fashion, keys, sweets, long naps, winter, and imagining himself in music videos for his favorite songs.

Dislikes: People that want to open the gate, people that ask too many questions about the gate, his job, not being allowed to follow his dreams, cayenne peppers, pine-scented things, and sand.

Personality: Lock is usually rather stoic and bored due to the nature of his job. He's very sarcastic and won't hesitate to make snide remarks. He is often annoyed by tourists who ask him about the gate/portal, especially ones that ask him to unseal the demon. He's often stressed out from his job and resents the fact that he wasn't allowed to pursue a musical career like he had always dreamed. While he normally tries to keep himself composed, he's definitely starting to lose his mind. It doesn't help that he's recently started hearing a voice asking him to open the gate himself.

History: Long ago, Lock's family was chosen to watch over a portal that a dangerous S-Class demon was sealed into. Despite his protests, Lock inherited the job from his father, and had little choice in his own future.

Current-Bio: Lock currently watches over the gate/portal with boredom, often having to deal with curious and ignorant tourists that are interested in opening the gate. Recently, he's began to hear voices that may or may not belong to the sealed S-Class Demon...

Meta-History: Lock was created in 2023 and was first designed in a late night concept doodle: The Gatekeeper Concept Art I'm not really sure what inspired his creation since he kinda just appeared in my head all of a sudden. Originally I considering changing his design, but after drawing him again I think I'm gonna keep it the way it is.
