yeah... another mermaid. doodled her head and torso, and i got inspired to draw and paint the rest. unfortunately, i discovered how badly my black paint sucks while doing this
i think i might have some better stuff now, though. done around june of 2006. originally, the fish were going to be dunkleosteus... but they sort of clashed with the mermaid so i put these fish in there instead. i wish i hadn't put the little one in though, he's kinda distracting

those fish creatures are amazing... and the curvature on all of the butterfly patterns is gorgeous as well.

This is absolutely wonderful! Fins that mimic butterfly wings...what a concept! The details are quite amazing, particularly that you took the time to draw each and every scale. I should also add that it's refreshing to see a piece untouched by Photoshop. Very nice work!
