By far your best photo (in my humble opinion), the depth of field and framing are fantastic. I love the facial expression and the colour is fantastic too.

:laughs: He definetly looks friendly. It's an adorable shot, I aboslutly love it. Mind if I fave it?

By the way, I've always wondered this since I'm taking an interest in photography is how do you blur the background?

oh, and it also depends on how far your zoomed in and how close you are to the object you want clear. i would really reconmend some lessons or tutorials if you want a better understanding.

he he, I don’t mind at all

ok, well, first things first, im going to assume you know at least SOMETHING about apertures. if not, then the rest will not make sense and you should go look up a beginning photography book. but basically. if you have a small aperture, that’s when the lens takes in a lot of light, only the thing you focused on gives off enough light to be clear, light from everything else becomes distorted because it has too many places to go. if the aperture is large, so not much light gets in, everything is clearer.

That probably dint help at all, sorry

Thanks a ton, it did help. Now I understand something about how lights work so that's good. I remember once I was filming for a drama project and I did some kind of focus and then when I focused on the person then the background became blurry. Which I found really amazing.

I think I'll pick up some kind of book about photography and I'll ask some experts too. Thanks a bunch though, cheers!
