This is the kind of shipping insanity that I come up with when I find THIS Mugen character: [link] called simply '9' who is basically a Cirno decked out in the Nineball colors, with all of the moves of the legendary Armored Core.
And then when that discovery is followed by the fandom's 'Cirno-nee', who is basically Cirno all grown up... [link] and the gallery here: [link] ...
...Let's just say that my brain goes some WEIRD ASS PLACES.
Because I figure that somewhere at the end of Armored Gensokyo, considering that Nineball can easily live forever, long enough for Cirno to grow up beside him, who's to say at some point they wouldn't come up with the idea of building a 'child' of sorts?
That child, created with the overwhelming technological superiority of Nineball Seraph, and imbued with Cirno's magical power could walk the path of science and fantasy all at once, and easily carry forthe the legend of ZA STRONGEST for a whole new generation!
...also because you just know that Lana Nielsen and Daiyousei are totally going to be the doting babysitters.
...or at least Dai. I think Lana would be the kind of girl who's horrible with kids.
Also, ever more credit to the awesome for the EPIC coloring and textures!
...however, she's been running into some time constraints these days, so if there's any epic AC and/or Touhou fans out there who might be interested, I've got a lot more Armored G artwork like this that could use a splash of digital magic!

White Glint is the NEXT version of Nineball (or so the developers say) which is why their build and combat style are similar. It might also be the reason why White Glint happens to be Collared Rank 9. And why 9 Ball's Emblem is in For Answer. And why White Glint revives itself if you do "Defeat White Glint" on hard.

None of those have anything to do with White Glint. What they meant is that White Glint is meant to take up the mantle left behind by Nineball, i.e, that one character who you never forget, and to essentially be the Nineball equivalent for a new era of games and gamers. Nineball's emblem being unlockable is simply a nod towards all us long time fans, Fromsoft's way of saying they remember him too, and that they know we remember him. White Glint being Rank 9 is a similar reference, much like how Laine Nielsen in AC VD is a reference to Lana Nielsen, and the final boss is N-WGIX, with the IX, of course, being 9 in Roman numerals.
White Glint was never meant to be a new 'version' of Nineball in the sense of it's design or build, but rather it's reputation and sense of 'OH HELL I AM IN FOR A FIGHT NOW'. Frankly, in the sense you're thinking, EXUSIA (both normal and especially the red form) is a better inheritor of the combat style and build of the Seraph, especially given that From basically confirmed in a short story between V and VD that the Chief and Carol are either the original Hustler One and Lana Nielsen enduring to the present day unaffected by their defeat in MoA, or another 'sibling' of theirs, much like IBIS was in Silent Line. Carol even said word for word many of the lines from the original MoA.
(9) and everything connected to him and his legacy are a favorite topic of mine, and Armored Core itself remains my favorite series to date. Believe me when I say I've done my research on it. XD

What you said in the first paragraph is kinda what I meant. Of course White Glint was never supposed to be a reincarnation of Nine Ball (since it most likely would have been colored red if it was), but rather a reference to its older(albeit weaker since NEXTS are superior to Normals) brother. And of course they kept the reference going by "reviving" White Glint as N-WGIX in AC:VD (since the 4/4A timeline and the V/VD timeline have been confirmed to be one and the same), even going so far as to give it abilities that were exclusive to the 4 universe such as a VOB and PA/AA so that we didn't forget how hard it was to beat the original the first time. In summary, Nine Ball's legacy will always be present in some shape or form in an Armored Core game so that we never forget(at least those of us who've played the originals) that last enemy, that we had to kill twice(which was hard enough at the time), had his ultimate form waiting to kick our asses at the deepest darkest part of the arena.

Er...I'm well aware of all of that. Most of that was actually what I said in my first reply. Basically, I'm just sort of wondering why you saw fit to bring all of this up, as frankly speaking, it's kind of stating the obvious. I am well aware of the significance of Nineball, and it's why I love his character so much.
Hence why I'm y'know, writing a fic for him in the first place?
To put it bluntly, this conversation is literally one Nineball fan telling another Nineball fan everything they both already know.
So it's kinda going in circles, if you get my meaning.
