Description
Okay, so I've been MAJORLY obsessing over the animated Disney show, "Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero" lately, and given how there's little fan art out there, plus how I got such a good idea for a fanfic, I decided to take a bit of a break from drawing Dollface, and instead work on seven PZPTH OCs, this being the first.
I have to say, I am surprisingly very pleased with the end result. I have NEVER drawn in a different style before, especially not an existing cartoon style, so this was definitely a challenge, but it was most fun to do for sure Had to use SO many reference pictures, especially pics of Amber Briggs. She was the main help/inspiration for this (you can tell by her eyes). And don’t even get me started on the color scheme - ugh! I had NO idea what colors to use, but then finally I settled on this and it thankfully came out well. Also, small note, but I’ve also NEVER drawn a character in different views (side, front). And let me tell you, drawing the side views were WAY more difficult than the other two. Damn.Anyway, this is Jacklyn Quillen, a part-time hero just like Penn. Whenever I get around to writing the fanfic I have planned, she will be the main character. And because of that, the information on her listed below won’t include details that’ll be revealed in the fanfic. Trust me, there are some things I just want to be kept secret until the fanfiction! Now then, here are some things about her:
- She lives with her father, Winters, who is quite overprotective towards her, especially when it comes to bringing boys home. As for her mother, it’s unknown where she is.
- According to Phyllis, Mavis - Jacklyn’s mother - was a part-time hero who went missing in action. Winters is unaware about all of this, thus believing his wife left him. Phyllis has been trying to find Mavis since then.
- Her best friends are Rodney Milosky (part-time sidekick) and Tatum Wightman (part-time wise…woman??)
- Her rivals are her drama teacher, Vesper, as well as the vice principal - Vesper’s “minion” - Helga. Jacklyn takes great joy in pestering Vesper every day, and won’t ever pass up a chance to do so.
- Back in middle school, she was teased quite often and was given the nickname “Jekyll” due to her being considered a bit of a freaky loner who would suddenly have mood swings from time to time. However, she brushed it off quite easily, not thinking anything of it.
- She has a crush on Penn Zero, although she won’t dare admit it; she’d rather take it to her grave. Tatum constantly teases her about it, which only gets her more and more agitated.
- She likes to think her style is a cross between a tomboy and a punk. She can’t stand wearing dresses; she’ll only ever wear one for an EXTREMELY formal event.
- She loves rock music, preferably hard rock. She can’t stand death metal though. Screaming doesn’t classify as music to her, just a way to get an extremely painful headache.
- She won’t admit it, but she has a lovely singing voice. She always sings in the shower. Only her father knows about this.
- She considers herself to be absolutely “dreadfully horrible” at dancing. However, everyone else tends to disagree with her, especially Penn.
- She - as well as her friends - aren’t aware that Penn and the gang are a “dream team” too. Phyllis has failed to ever bring it up.
- On her signature shirt is the double infinity symbol. It was given to her by Phyllis, who told her that it used to be her mother’s. From what Phyllis says, it symbolizes how Jacklyn is living a double life and no matter what, she will always be a part of two worlds: a regular mundane life, as well as a dangerous part-time hero life.
- Unlike Penn, she doesn’t have a MUHU of her own. She has never once bothered to ask Phyllis about getting one due to seeing no point. She fears that her mother is gone - possibly even dead. Everyone has tried to tell her otherwise, that she should have more faith and hope, but she can’t help but view the situation negatively.
- Her hobbies include writing, reading, jamming to music in her room (much to her father’s displeasure), and skateboarding.
- She tries to give off a “tough girl” kind of vibe - someone who isn’t easily afraid (like Rodney), but she’s actually quite a sweet girl who will help anyone in need. Also, she seems to be the kind of person to like horror movies and haunted houses, but in truth, she can’t stand that kind of stuff - at least not the ones that are too scary or violent. No blood and gore for her.
More info will eventually come, but until then, that’s all you get. Now onto the second OC, her sidekick, Rodney Milosky!! Yes! Wish me luck!
