he has one hp he's in major danger if you look at his fight it objectively it's mostly smoke and mirrors and in the end he dies he caches on that frisk may be determined enough to reset so wont just fight them dogging is a trick he could mess up he knows that if frisk can not reset he's doomed and if frisk cant asgore will kill them in the genocide run he has a good enough reason and his only hope is that frisk gives up
