the ultimate model of the very successful E-Series line of robots created by Dr. Eggman.

This particular model has been built to guard the then hidden Shadow the Hedgehog, recovered after the events of the Ark space colony falling to earth in Sonic Adventure 2. However Omega feels he has been squandered of his talents being locked up in a sealed room as an overgrown Guard dog. Vowing vengeance on the man who created him, he would find his calling when Famed treasure Hunter, Rouge the bat would stumble upon the room believing Eggman would be housing his most prized treasures. What she would find is not only a physically restored (though slightly amnesiac) Shadow, but also a rampaging robot crying out “MUST ELIMINATE ALL EGGMAN ROBOTS”

Seeing they have a common foe, they team up to become the ever effective Team Dark.

Omega is very interesting to say the least. His first impression definitely cements him to rival his predecessor, E-102 Gamma’s fame and popularity to the fandom. He would soon be discovered he has the means to hunt and subdue Shadow should he be deemed a threat to all, which after the long teamwork bonding in Sonic Heroes, makes it a very tragic friendship and burden the iron clad robot must bear. Still when you see this robot, you can bet that Eggman is due for scrap pickup.
