yeah he was, at first, but after season 3 ends, he's not so much. Yeah he can be towards Ichigo but I have noticed the guy has a lot of respect for Ichigo, to a point. He's more of an ass to Ichi because he feels Ichi should refer to him formally and not informally and with that he seems to be more of an ass towards him. Now when it comes to Rukia... you say "jump" and he'll say "how high" she is "his pride"
