Page 197 of the main Space:1889 rulebook has a brief description of the weapons of the various lizard ma tribes scattered all across Venus. These weapons are not illustrated nor given any individual stats, so this is my effort to rectify the oversight. I gave the bow fairly crappy stats for a bow, but given that visibility on Venus is supposedly rarely more than a few yards, It would be difficult for the lizard men to devise a ranged weapon with greater accuracy. I otherwise based stats on some of my previous work. Obviously, the GM can use it or adjust as desired.
As a page-ender, I added the British answer to Lizard man attacks.... The Vickers Machine-gun. Vickers purchased the Maxim company in 1896 and redesigned, and reconfigured, the Maxim. The British Army adopted the result in 1912. Thus, aside from belt length and overall weight, the stats are virtually the same for the MG08, the Maxim in the rulebook, and the Vickers.
It should be noted, however, that the Vickers was a huge improvement upon the original Maxim layout and it was wildly reliable, to the point that it remained in British service until March 1968.
Having not ever actually laid eyes on one, I did the best I could with a lot of photographs. I hope someone finds the page useful.
