Ionatrix and a host of Wayfarers were called upon to lok into the mysterious disappearance of the island city of Okeno. When they stepped through the gate to Okeno, they found the city in an eternal dusky haze, the entire city soaked in sin. The island had been drawn into the realm of Nocticula, the Demon Queen of Succubi.

A group of demons approached the group with murder and hunger in their eyes. Nocticula had placed a yellow sign on every mortal in the city to protect them while she allegedly worked at redeeming the hive of slavery and vice, leaving the demons native to her plane angry and frustrated that they could no longer have their way with them.

After looking the mortals over and seeing no 'yellow sign' upon them, they deemed the group fair game to take out their frustration on a group of defenseless mortals. What they found as a sound beating. Among them 2 had the sense to realize their fight was lost. One attempted to turn to mist and drift away, but found that the adventurers had effective methods for dealing with errant fart clouds.

The other dropped to his knees and begged for his life.

Ionatrix, falling back into some of her old habits, told him that if he groveled at her feet, she would consider letting him live. To his credit Picklepee, as he would come to be known, groveled with much more enthusiasm than a man simply begging for his life. Ionatrix took a liking to him and decided to keep him as her pet for the time being.
