Penumbra Cadet Nanigari

History: Though Dr. Light’s coup against the world governments was a largely bloodless one, that doesn’t mean he was merciful or kind, he violently quelled protests and publically executed detractors to his burgeoning regime. Among his many, Many victims, were Korudo and Tifa Matsuda, peaceful protesters who only wished for the reinstatement of democratic elections. Their deaths left behind a daughter, Nanigari who did what she had to in order to survive, striking back at the cruel regime at every opportunity, and joined up with Penumbra almost as soon as it was formed.

After obtaining the necessary funding from Hoshiko, the science division of Penumbra were able to invest their time in developing what they came to dub the Light Breakers, armored suits that are meant to rival Dr. Light and his robots. Despite the fact that the process of bonding to a suit includes a direct spinal graft that seals the armor to your body for the rest of your life, Nanigari instantly volunteered to be the first trial run. Her reward – being on the front line, the first to kick down the door to Dr. Light’s tower when the group finally makes its assault.

Abilities:

Mary Mack- a combo attack using her whips to extend the reach of her strikes, two straight blows then an overhead strike that causes a small explosion

Double Dutch- Nanigari launches herself into the air and lashes out with her whips, striking the ground twice and sending two pillars of fire across the screen.

Twister- spins in place, surrounding herself with the whips to deflect damage, then slowly moves across the screen, leaving a trail of flames in her wake.

Skip It- Uses her whips to attach to the opposite wall and zip-line herself towards it, creating an explosion when she lands

Sorry- Latches the whip onto her opponent, then drags him to her and punches him, setting him on fire

Game of Life- after depleting the first quarter of her full health, Nanigari sets her entire body on fire and slowly burns through her remaining life force, However, this does have the effect of making all of her attacks three times as potent.

Reward for Defeat: Inferno Chain (Bass changes his normal melee weapon to mimic Nanigari’s fire whip, it has the greatest reach and quickest attack speed, but the lowest damage per strike, charging the attack with have Bass wrap a single opponent in the whip and, after a second f charging, set them on fire)
