Thankyou this is new nesting pair this year, hence new angle. they built the nest 2 years ago and played at it for 2 seasons but this year had young. its also on the bank smack above where we stand to. very encouraging as it proves the heronry is still expanding

Great Image David. I just noticed a new Heron nest being completed by the adults just around the corner from where I live. I will be there tomorrow morning to try and capture some images of that. No young as of yet though.

Thanks that sounds very good indeed, could be a very good oppurtunity. even better if there no young and its close. get plenty of take
off and returning to the nest, then all the activity when and if they do have young. happy hunting.
