The hordes that threaten mankind are diverse. Within their ranks, actual human (or other races) cultists are rare, as only those with the ability to communicate with ancient entities are able to serve. The difference is made up by various demonic creatures, constructs, homunculi and various savage troglodyte races employed solely to wage warfare.

The origin of abominations is debated - some argue that they are misshapen cultists that lost all cognition when receiving their gods' blessing. Others believe that they are failed experiments in producing homunculi, but still usable for warfare. Regardless, there is one certain fact, and that is the abominations have zero restraint when it comes to violence. It has been observed that even after receiving an ordinarily mortal wound, many will continue to fight for minutes or hours before collapsing for good.
