As a resident DuaneNashologist, I believe he meant in artistic technique, tho it seems you reached a mildly similar effect with very different means.

I disagree with him on a lot of points, but I have to respect him for being balls to the walls in his presentation, and having some pretty appealing art (to me at least)
His plesiosaur machinations series is what I keep coming back to, because he actually makes good points and seems extraordinarily logical for once.Β
He's like my guilty pleasure, I wish he still posted.
