Description Tristan the T. rex reconstructed close to the day of his death. With the exact tooth placement, proportions and illnesses/injuries at the time of death.

Injuries and illnesses include scratches you wouldn't be able to see marks of on the bone, a weird tumor like growth on the front lower end of the jaw visible in the bone, and several cysts caused by parasites, probably by something realated to Trichomonas gallinae.

I just needed to give this guy a makeover. Was the first real drawing I ever loaded up here:

Great piece, even if the original specimen is a bit deformed.

I dig the keratinization, and the orange scales contrasting the green

Very Nash-esque. I dig it.

As a resident DuaneNashologist, I believe he meant in artistic technique, tho it seems you reached a mildly similar effect with very different means.

I disagree with him on a lot of points, but I have to respect him for being balls to the walls in his presentation, and having some pretty appealing art (to me at least)

His plesiosaur machinations series is what I keep coming back to, because he actually makes good points and seems extraordinarily logical for once.Β
He's like my guilty pleasure, I wish he still posted.

A very cool look into how deformity and injury can create a unique looking individual compared to their usual status quo
