you nicely captured why prince diamond was so creepy as a villain. so many people tend to think that he's just some misunderstood guy who were in love. but the thing is, he was way too obsessed with Neo serenity for his own good, and he was willing to resort to mind control to get what he wanted. he was definitely a creeper who might even had been willing to resort to rape to get what he wanted. Mind control sex does count as rape after all. thankfully he didn't go there though.

Yup, I completely agree! I love Diamond as a character, he's one of my favorite villains, and honestly that's why--he scared me for these reasons, and that's what makes him my fave. If he were just some misunderstood guy in love, he would not have been at all creepy enough to make the impression on me that he did. I'm not saying I "like" the things he did or the way he was, but that I like him as a bad guy/I think he made a great threatening villain, know what I mean? So I love seeing fanart like this, that shows him being the dude who scared me as a little kid, because even then I knew something was WRONG about this stuff.

Yeah.... the R season villains all had something "wrong" about them too... probably why the majority of my favorite villains came from that season.
