"I'M FOUR FOOT TWO INCHES OF TOTAL MAYHEM, AND A HUNDRED POUNDS MORE THAN ANYONE CAN HANDLE" - Vandal Zavak, on body positivity
Backstory:
Vandal Zavak started his life like many dwarves did, as the child of an innkeeper and her husband in a town tucked away between dense forests and tall hills. Var, as he was known before, was the youngest of three dwarf children. He spent his childhood making the wine behind their old tavern, alongside his father. For most dwarves of his social status, this was the best he could hope for. But Var wanted more.
Var snuck out one day to watch a band of dwarves play a concert, but found that the tall folk had already taken the good seats. It was only until a mountain of a man saw the young Var and offered to let him ride his shoulders. He had a thick head of hair, black as coal, and had a wide smile. Var had spent only a few minutes with the man, but entrusted him with his life. After the concert, Var urged to learn more about the man. As it turned out, he was an athlete in his youth, and retired to the town to escape his fame and a scandal. Var urged the man even more to train him, both in body and mind, to escape the dullness of his current life. The man was hesitant at first, but eventually relented.
Var stayed out longer and longer, often forgetting to tell his family about his comings and goings. One night he and his father got into an intense argument, their strained relationship coming to a breaking point. Words were thrown that could never be taken back, and Var came to the man with all his belongings and a greater devotion to his training
Var shed his old life, and forged a new identity. No longer was he Var, the child of a settling dwarf family. Now he was Vandal ‘Havoc’ Zavak, the wrestler with skin that glistened like polished marble. He dyed his hair the same shade as black as his mentor, and was granted his mentor’s old pair of shades as a symbol of his faith in the dwarf.

Fun Fact: Though Vandal will try to deny it, he is very self-conscious about his legs. He will try to cover them open as often as possible, but won't hesitate to give you a clothesline if you insist on seeing them
