Hikaru and Nova, Hikaru's shadow self, from Magic Knight Rayearth. I just loved Nova's character, she was so crazy and evil but then she eventually was redeemed when Hikaru merged with her.

I normally hate anime-only characters but Nova is special. Like you said, she was so crazy and could switch from a confession to a death threat in the space of a heartbeat.
I love this picture. Their poses... their faces and the fact that she is anime only makes the drawing all the better because it gives a... don't know...
