I bought little ornaments at a craft store. They're about an inch in diameter and attached to wires.
All the store had was black, so the kids' are actually painted white (all paint used was acrylic) and covered with a clear coat.
Then I just kinda... painted the symbols on with a fine brush? And when they were all dry, I gave them a clear coat. That stuff was actually enamel or something, but there's clear acrylic sealer, too.

dude. if you got permission, you could probably sell these for mad money. like. seriously. |: you could paint a troll symbol on anything and probably sell it for a lot hahaha. anyways i LOVE this idea! freaking brilliant. i'd love to have ornaments like this for our next christmas, even if i'd be the only one who appreciates them!
