Description This a short comic illustrating one of Norse Mythology's most amusing tales: Thrymskvida from the Poetic Edda.

Note: A lot of names have variant spellings (like Mjöllnir/Mjölnir/Miöllnir, Thrymskvida/Thrymskvitha/Þrymskviða), so I just picked the one I felt like writing repeatedly.

This is hysterical. You should do more of the Eddas. Or maybe I'm just partial because Thor in a dress never gets old.

But really. This is fabulous.

There is really no story that can compare to Thor in a dress.  But other Edda comics are on the way!

I really hope you do the next part of this tale.  High and might Thor in a dress.   :-D

The rest of this story is in my gallery; the rest of the Poetic Edda I have yet to draw!

Funny; "Whatever it is, I didn't do it", is my first response when someone calls my name, too.

This is awesome. Love the interactions; sassy Loki is sassy.

Thor's chief rule:  Whenever anything goes wrong, get Loki.

Problem in Asgard?

Step 1: Blame Loki

Step 2: Make Loki fix it

Exactly true!  I swear Odin only recruited Loki to be the scapegoat/fixer.  *pets Loki*

Have you ever come across C. Gockel's "I Bring the Fire" series?  I love her take on Loki and the others!

I haven't heard of it, but I just looked it up on Amazon; the "editorial reviews" crack me up.

"'I found this story to be an amazingly accurate retelling of the Norse Myths. Excellent, highly recommended, two thumbs on fire.'

Another Kindle book I'd highly recommend is "All at Sea" by Alex Beecroft.  It's a book of short stories, and three of those stories revolve around Loki and Thor, all of them purely delightful.  (After all, how can you resist a story called "Loki and the Giant Chicken"?)

Believe it or not, the books are even better than the reviews.

How I grew up, Rule #1, it is always the eldest sons fault... prioritize the scape goat, and all else falls into place!
