This is the whole cover for the my fanfiction manga :3means its front side, border and the back side of the manga. thats also the reason for so much free space

hehehe idk how it would be if i printed it atm lol never actually cared for it till now lol i just took a scan of a paper so the size of the image is ok, but i guess a littel bit of mikus hair is on the (idk whats the word for it) part between the fron and the back? xD but idk really

The back of the book is called a "spine" (Makes sense right, since it's the thing that holds the book together?) And it's okay if a bit of Miku's hair gets on there as long a your can fit your wording in nicely.
It's... not something you can really make a tutorial about. :S
It's sort of something you experiment with and get a sense for. I personally have a lot of fun making logos.

But to make something you lie, you have to play around with editing programs A LOT.

I moved everything more to the left because I assume why the images are like that is because you want room for the spine.
It's a bit hard to figure out how to place the lettering without any indication of where the spine starts & stops but I went with my gut.

So I went with the Japanese logo/writing for Hatsune Miku with "Nonsense Fantasy" as a subtitle. (I kinda assume that's the series's name)
And because the title of the story seems to be "war of the flies" I went with a harsher font to emphasize that & make it seem more predominant as a title. Sorry the Japanese name is a bit pixelated. I couldn't find a crisp version so I had to take a lower res image & edit it manually to make it look better.
Normally I charge points or cash for lettering but I felt like helping. lol
If anyone asks about me, tell them that I don't do it for free unless I'm feeling generous and that doesn't happen often because I have a lot of work to do. D:
Anyhoo, hope you like it. & I wouldn't mind a mention of my time for the lettering.

haha everything is perfect as you did it~ omg i could've never imagined something looking this awesome x333 actually i almost was giving up on doing this anymore, but now as i got such an amazing cover i just have to make the manga! but i think imma first try to get a little bit better and get mangastudio and then imma do it lol
but there is just that you actually made a smaller image, but that isnt any big harm lol and that you cut off a bit of miku's hair xD but i think imma just make it back there lol not like its much of work ^.^

I didn't move any of the drawings on the image. The only thing I changed was the letters though I think I did use the posted image instead of the DLed version. Give me 5 minutes and I'll have a higher res & a bigger image for you.

This is really lovely but can I make one tiny critique? The layout is quite cool but the lettering doesn't feel quite right. It feels a bit slapped on.
I suggest playing with the fonts & use some layering techniques to make your letter pop. Otherwise, they're a bit lost in the BG.
The layout for the cover itself is really nice and I think it would be a shame to put such an average writing with such a nice layout.
I made a cover for giggles myself of one of my OC stories and I customized the lettering so it really identifies with the story.

You don't have to go this far but something that stands out a bit would definitely make this look really complete!

i know what you mean, but i really have nooo idea about things like letters design and so on... so i searched over 1 hour for a good font, but sadly there were none... and i thought (it was maybe 2:00 AM) "I spent over 3 hours on this f*****g Cover!! i'll just upload it with a crappy font >x<" so it came to this ^^'

but beware, the writing shouldnt go any farther to the right side of the pic then those atm, coz i made the whole cover of the manga (for printing) as one picture and so its also on the back side of the book : P
