I think Carol would teach Billy-boy a thing or two..Great to see Shazam in the new JL book. I just wish
they put a better artist on Carols book...!(IMHO)

and forever, I prefer Billy Batson as Shazam from Justice League Unlimited or JLU (for short) Carol Denver as Ms Marvel from Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes or Avengers EMH (for short) cartoon versions

Yeah! I was so happy about it, but I was so disappointed....
I know they MUST know what they are doing there, but the art is just so disturbing that I can't stand it. They say the book is critically hot, but holy crap, that art! It hurts my eyes.....
And that makes me sad.

Oh, NEVER assume that Marvel or DC have a clue what they're doing - it's common for the right hand to not have a clue what the left hand is doing.
I mean, if you look at first 12 issues of Power Girl's solo run... that was GOLD. That was win condensed down and poured onto the printed page and I know Amanda Connors couldn't keep up with a monthly title but they just turned it IMMEDIATELY into such a bland, generic, soulless and forgettable title with the new creative team.
I've never read Ms. Marvel but I know that despite the surfeit of good artists in the world, there are a lot of genuinely BAD artists who are riding the DC/Marvel gravy train... somehow. It baffles me.

In an alternate universe, Amanda Conner is drawing a Ms Marvel/Captain Marvel comic........that would be epic.

Personally, I think they missed a trick with She-Hulk... Amanda Conner has made a point of saying she'd love to work on a She-Hulk comic and I felt that at least during Dan Slott's run, Jen rather got the thin end of the wedge artwise...
But as you say, what a business... and hey, some stuff I understand! It's about money, after all - but some of the stuff is just utterly baffling. Beyond the ken of mere mortals like us, I suppose.

That is some great art here. You have done Carol such a better honor than Marvel has, besides the covers that interior art just blows. Too bad that they can't show her more respect, and Captain Marvel now named Shazam... 
I just hate DC for that. They had to rip the fun out of the Captain Marvel books. Talky Tawny, Mary Marvel, Freddie, THE BIG RED CHEESE! All these things will fade in time, like tears, in the rain.

In a world where literally dozens and dozens of prograde artists would kill for a regular gig, marvel goes with THIS guy? Arrrrg! I am at a loss.... From those scratchy lines, taffy arms and legs, to those FLOUNDER eyes!!!!
