I always kinda liked these superheroes that shrink. Atom, Antman, etc.
For one their series have always been pretty fun, superheroics mixed with comedy. But for some reason both Marvel and DC seem ashamed of these characters and try to make things gritty by killing anything related to them in sight during epic crossovers... I mean, Ray Palmer!The Atom's wife became super evil and killed Sue Dibny (the wife of Elongated Man) during Identity Crisis, they killed violently the second Atom!Ryan Choi to launch a book of supervillains, to join the Avengers Antman "created Ultron" by accident at Marvel, they killed Wasp for absolutely no reason...
sigh...
so tired of all these random pointless murders left and right...

I see, I felt that Atom man was just to basic. I like AntMan a lot more then Atom. It suck that they just kill off characters so they don't have to do anything for them. And it really suck that they have to change everything about what made them so great and make it dull and gritty. But I digress, I heard that's there's going to be a AntMan Movie. Hopefully they don't fuck it up. 

P.s I really hope D.C makes another Green Lantern movie( that is in no way related to that one ). The GL comics are my favorite and I hated that "GL" movie that came out. It was so bad, it felt so genric and all over the place.

I wasn't a big fan of Atom... until a read Sword of the Atom a couple years ago. Which was pretty awesome. (Planet Hulk's basically a ripoff of SotA).
Then I read Atom's stories along Team Titans, which was pretty fun. And Gail Simone's All New Atom, which was fantastic (and totally doesn't receive the same praise as her runs on Secret Six, WW or Birds of Prey... unjustly!)
I really like the character now!

I have no problem when they, say, kill much darker characters aimed at older audiences. But killing the funny guys? That's where I draw the line! You don't brutally murder the likes of Ted Kord, Ryan Choi, Detective Chimp, Blue Devil or Angel and Ape! You just... don't!! >__<
