I love the show (see my review!)
On the surface it feels like a mix between old MTV cartoons (Beavis & Butthead, Daria..) and the less vulgar Adult Swim shows. In fact it was originally pitched as an Adult Swim series first.
The best is to check the first episodes to see if you like it, and try to catch the original "school projects" pilots JG Quintel made way back when:
