Description A drawing of a Fu Lion Dog. I decided to draw him as a combination of a dragon, lion and a Mastiff-type dog.

He's actually a god in my novel called Epitychia("success").

Yes, she is Raquel. We always get Fulle/Fury(or however the hell you spell his name) and Shannon love, but WTF? No Raquel love!?

It's the bishounen effect. Women get less love because the fangirls can't possibly write yaoi with them.

At least with a lot of the charas I like, relative unpopularity is expected.

Fabulous. I believe in Okinawa they're called Shiisaa and so beautiful and important...of course, the Shiisaa are slightly different from the Chinese ones, and so forth...they're all glorious.

I don't understand why the Chinese/Japanese/whoever, consider them lions. They look nothing like a lion, not even a mythologized lion. To me they're just...dragons. :S

Oh, they are lions...they look very much like them if you look at the context of the art. They are certainly a kind of dog or lion, depending on which sort they are. You just have to get used to the style in which they are depicted.

Gorgeous work.

To me, they look like a combination of a dragon, mythical lion and a Mastiff-type dog.

They really are amazing. I suppose it's not really accurate to try and translate them...a Shiisaa is a Shiisaa.
