Description
A drawing of a Fu Lion Dog. I decided to draw him as a combination of a dragon, lion and a Mastiff-type dog.He's actually a god in my novel called Epitychia("success").

I don't understand why the Chinese/Japanese/whoever, consider them lions. They look nothing like a lion, not even a mythologized lion. To me they're just...dragons. :S

Oh, they are lions...they look very much like them if you look at the context of the art. They are certainly a kind of dog or lion, depending on which sort they are. You just have to get used to the style in which they are depicted.

They really are amazing. I suppose it's not really accurate to try and translate them...a Shiisaa is a Shiisaa.
